Pad and Compress Instruction Page

Note: It is important for the consumer to be made aware of the instructions and proper use of any product they purchase. PED-Med understands safety is a priority. As with all products, the consumer must take the responsibility to read all instructions. For your safety, please follow the basic instructions for the use of the products featured by PED-Med. Remove all paper sheets from the storage polybag and keep them in a safe place.

Storage of Compress: The Reusable Hot and Cold Therapy Compress should always be stored in the refrigerator and in the polybag provided. This will prevent the fabric from getting dirty and from freezing solid.

Instructions for Cold Therapy Use: Take the pack out of the polybag, and apply it directly to the injured area. Leave the compress in place for 15-20 minutes. Remove the compress and return it to refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before reapplying. Always have the pack in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours prior to use.

Instructions for Hot Therapy Use: From Refrigerator- If the Reusable Hot and Cold Therapy Compress is going to be used for hot therapy directly from the refrigerator, remove the pack from the ziplock polybag and warm the pack prior to following the heating instructions. Heating Instructions- Microwave in 15 second intervals. Test the temperature between intervals. Knead pack to evenly distribute heated gel. Wet pack for moist heat.
